Three years ago, I obtained a first class honour degree from Weston College (Bath Spa University).
 
I have been painting now for about 20 years and I love it. I produce bright and contemporary work in oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media.  I prefer to paint outside in the landscape, but if this is not possible I work in my studio from sketches, photographs and memory, trying to encapsulate the magical effect of light (or the absence of it) and evoking a sense of place. Last year I completed a course in psychogeography which was both challenging and thought provoking.

Covid 19 has presented a challenging and difficult time.  Going for walks in the countryside has been very therapeutic and I have produced a series of paintings following this experience.
 
I have exhibited widely including the RWA.
